Balenciaga & Adidas X Best Mannequins

Throwback to an amazing project in collaboration with Balenciaga and Adidas. We had the privilege of designing the mannequins for a very special window display. Balenciaga had a unique vision in mind, as they wanted to work with a transgender mannequin and draw inspiration from a queue of people.

The mannequin...

In order to achieve the desired effect of invisibility, the mannequins were designed in a matte black finish. This choice allowed them to seamlessly blend into the background, ensuring that the focus remains on the displayed garments and the overall concept.

GENDERLESS

Eliza’s Body

For the specific transgender mannequin, we utilized a real body scan to create a lifelike and highly detailed replica named of their famous transgender model ‘Eliza’. This cutting-edge technology enabled us to capture every nuance and contour, resulting in a truly realistic representation. The mannequin itself was entirely 3D printed, allowing for precise customization.

To cater to a diverse range of footwear, the mannequin was equipped with two pairs of feet: one set with flat soles and another set with lifted heels. This feature allows the mannequin to showcase both sneakers and high-heeled shoes, providing versatility in styling options.

In order to add dynamism to the display, we created five different poses featuring the same transgender mannequin. Each pose captures a unique moment in a queue, adding an element of movement and expression to the overall presentation.

The result...

We are proud to have been part of this ground-breaking collaboration between Balenciaga and Adidas, pushing boundaries and celebrating diversity in the world of fashion. We hope that this project inspires and resonates with all who have the opportunity to view it.
